GDPR Privacy Policy

Introduction

Our commitment to you is that we will respect any personal data you share with us, or that we get from other organisations, and keep it safe. We aim to be clear when we collect your data and not do anything that you would not reasonably expect. We only ask for information that will form our registers for the forthcoming term, and will allow us to contact you in case of an emergency, for payment requests or to gauge interest in future classes and Birthday Parties. Please read the following information to understand how we collect your data, the purpose of collecting it and how we process it. We will notify you of any changes to our privacy policy and any updates can be viewed via our website.

To contact you to confirm your child's place on a course

To contact you to confirm your child's place on a waiting list

To send you information about the course your child will be attending: dates, payment information and collection arrangements

To send you payment requests

To notify you of enrolment for future courses, Holiday camps and Birthday parties.

To provide the school and our class teachers with class registers (containing child names, year group, contact numbers and medical information).

How we keep your data secure and who processes your data

The company is the data controller and performs the processes in house, with the support of trusted suppliers, who will be held to the same standards of compliance as we are ourselves. We ensure they store the data securely and are contractually obliged to adhere to all the data regulations required by law.

We currently use third party suppliers to store your data in a secure, cloud based database and we use whatsapp for sharing last minute details with teachers.

Teachers may use a printed hard-copy of registers. These are kept on the teacher, or locked away and then destroyed at the end of each term.

We continually monitor our suppliers to ensure they are adhering to the required standards.

We may need to disclose your data if required to the police, regulatory bodies or legal advisors. We will only ever share your personal data in other circumstances if we have your explicit and informed consent.

Where you use a third party to provide data to us, for example, PayPal, they will have their own data protection and privacy policies and we recommend you are aware of these before signing up.

If you wish, you may opt out of any of the services we provide at any time by calling our office on 07971 073 530, or emailing info@funstareducation.co.uk.

We believe that by signing your child up to our classes you would reasonably expect to be kept informed about information pertaining to your child's course, and the opportunity to enrol on future courses, but you may opt out if you don't feel you wish to receive this information.

Retention

We will retain your data for three years to meet any legal and financial requirements and in the event that you wish to reconnect with us in the future, unless you ask us to remove it. Retaining your data allows us to quickly register your child on a course in future should they wish to rejoin at a later date. If you would like us to remove your data (except that which we must retain for legal and financial reasons), please let us know via the telephone or email and we will remove it.

Your data and your rights

You have a right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, although we may need to charge an administration fee in certain circumstances. To do so please contact us on info@funstareducation.co.uk. We will require a written request of the information required as well as proof of your identity. We will supply the information as requested within one month of receipt or advise you if we are unable to comply for any reason. If you find discrepancies in the information we provide, please advise us by calling us on 07971 073 530 so we can correct them.

You have a right to ask us to restrict or stop processing your personal data, and if it's not necessary for the purpose you provided it to us for we will do so. Contact us on 07971 073 530 if you have any concerns. At your request, we will erase any data we hold unless it is required for legal or financial reasons if you no longer wish for us to hold or process your data.

If you have any questions please contact us on 07971 073 530.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. Further information, including contact details, is available at https://ico.org.uk.
